Lila Das Gupta
Lila Das Gupta is a multimedia journalist, media-trainer and facilitator. She began her career as a radio producer and journalist working for NPR, the BBC World Service, CBC Radio of Canada and the Voice of America in Washington DC. Returning to her native London, she spent eight years working on some of the BBC’s most prominent news programmes including Newshour and Europe Today. She became the first Arts Reporter of the World Service before leaving to concentrate on written journalism.
 
As a features writer and a Foreign-desk news editor for The Daily Telegraph, Lila commissioned stories from around the world and herself wrote about environment, sustainability and horticulture. She became a columnist for the paper in 2004, later expanding her gardening writing to work for BBC Gardeners Word magazine, Royal Horticultural Society magazine The Garden.  Her freelance writing has appeared in the Financial Times, Times and Guardian newspapers.   
She appeared on BBC television programmes including the Gardeners World live coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show and BBC World TV.
 
 Lila has always prioritised continuous personal development.  She is a CIPD qualified trainer holding a Diploma in Learning and Development.  She is also a qualified Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, and Facilitator.
 
She has trained individuals and teams in numerous UK government departments as well as large corporations including Airbus. She has done media training for high-profile individuals including the heads of UK government departments and corporate leaders, as well as senior editors at international media organisations. 
 
She has a degree in Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
